SBI flags suspected data breach; says customer funds are safe

SBI received alerts from its threat-intelligence provider, the Defence Cyber Agency and CERT-In about suspected customer data on the dark web. A preliminary review of about 3.75 lakh records found 3,897 containing personal details such as names, mobile numbers, emails, dates of birth and addresses. The bank engaged a CERT-In-empanelled agency and said core banking was unaffected.
